Walking through surrounding slums to reach my university in Delhi each day, I came to understand poverty more deeply which led me to my first job in microfinance. There I saw the impact financial services could have on lives. I saw the positive impact of credit, but also that you sometimes create more impact by refusing a loan. At Flourish, we put the customers’ financial health first and invest in ideas that do well by doing good.
As a Senior Investment Analyst with the Flourish team in India, Pranav is responsible for all aspects of the deal process, from building the firm’s pipeline across South Asia, evaluating investments, executing deals, and working with our founders on strategy and growth.
Before coming to Flourish, Pranav worked with Bain & Company, where he led business turnaround cases for private equity firms and built market entry strategies for corporate clients. While at Bain, Pranav developed an anti-child trafficking program with Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi. During the pro bono engagement, Pranav worked on weekends to implement the bicycle aid program, saving 28 children in the first month.
Prior to joining Bain, Pranav worked with the microfinance lender Omni Finserv, where he met microenterprise owners in the streets of Delhi, to understand their borrowing needs and creditworthiness.
Pranav has a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies at the University of Delhi and an MBA degree from MDI Gurgaon, where he graduated top of his class. In his personal time, he is developing a game that teaches children how to keep themselves safe.
