The next decade of financial innovation will be defined by our ability to create transformational products and services that reach beyond elite communities and benefit the everyday lives of citizens around the world. I am proud to be a part of a network of financiers, entrepreneurs, marketers, regulators, and policymakers that will make this happen.
As Head of Strategic Communications at Flourish, Catherine helps shape the firm’s global message and provides strategy and resources to our growing number of portfolio companies that are focused on improving the long-term financial well-being for everyone.
Catherine joined Flourish from Shasta Ventures. As Vice President of Marketing, she oversaw Shasta’s branding, communications, content, and events, as well as supported the efforts of such companies as AppSheet, Glint, Valimail, and Zuora. Catherine began her career as the speechwriter for Autodesk’s first female CEO, Carol Bartz, and then grew up through the ranks to lead the company’s worldwide communications. Catherine also spent more than a dozen years in public relations agencies, such as Weber Shandwick and Golin Harris, and ultimately launched and led the San Francisco office of Ruder Finn, a top-30 global firm.
Through her in-house leadership roles during the foundational years for Atlassian, Macromedia, and Wired.com, Catherine developed a passion for working closely with entrepreneurs and helping them develop stronger narratives that engage broader audiences and help scale their businesses faster. She holds a M.A. degree from Northwestern University and B.A. degree from Harvard College.
