As the Head of Global Marketing at Flourish, Katie supports the firm’s investment teams across the U.S., Africa, India, Latin America, and Southeast Asia while advising a portfolio of over 70 fintech startups. She excels at helping entrepreneurs develop their brands, craft compelling stories, manage media relations, and build effective communication and distribution strategies.
Katie previously led marketing and research initiatives at Kauffman Fellows, tracking global venture capital activity and trends. She spent six years in the African tech ecosystem, serving as Managing Director of MEST, Africa’s largest pre-seed fund and incubator, and led marketing efforts at 88mph, a startup accelerator in Cape Town, Lagos, and Nairobi.
Katie has worked on integrated marketing campaigns, large-scale events, and community initiatives, including contributing to the global rollout of TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield. She was a Partner at Silicon Foundry, a boutique advisory that connects select Global 500 corporations and government entities with early-stage companies and emerging technologies.
Katie's venture and entrepreneurial expertise is complemented by her traditional agency experience, where she worked with clients across finance, biotech, and consumer industries.
