Why We Invested in Bluprynt

Bluprynt Founder & CEO Christopher J. Brummer (Bluprynt)

In financial markets, trust and transparency are not “nice-to-haves.” They are foundational infrastructure. As the world moves toward tokenized assets and always-on settlement, disclosure cannot remain a static PDF or a fragmented set of jurisdictional checklists. It needs to be digital, standardized, and verifiable, able to travel with the asset and be evaluated at the speed of modern markets.

This new financial ecosystem is emerging quickly. Regulatory regimes are becoming clearer, stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets are morphing from experimentation to scale. The gap between on-chain rails and traditional expectations around accountability is shrinking. The result is a new, urgent question for issuers, venues, and regulators alike: how do we know what we are dealing with, who stands behind it, and whether the right disclosures are in place, without slowing everything down?

Blurprynt answers this question. The company is building the compliance and credential layer for tokenized finance. We participated in its 2024 pre-seed round, driven by our conviction in founder Chris Brummer’s position as a regulatory and policy leader.

Today, we’re pleased to announce we are joining Bluprynt’s $4.25 million seed round, led by Valor Capital Group, with participation from Cultivation, Quona, Selah, Coinbase, Robinhood, and others.

Chris Brummer: From Professor to Founder

The depth of Chris’s experience first attracted us to Bluprynt. The Georgetown Law professor’s robust expertise in financial regulation, disclosure regimes, and digital asset policy, gives Bluprynt outsized credibility with regulators and institutional counterparties.

Since launching Bluprynt, Chris has done what the best founders do: build. He has recruited key engineering leadership, such as Chief Product Officer Robby Greenfield and Chief Legal Technologist Juan Carlos Villarreal. The Bluprynt team is taking on the hard, unglamorous work of making issuer identity, token authenticity, and disclosure obligations machine-readable and auditable.

“Bluprynt is a fit-for-purpose OS linking offchain compliance to onchain execution so issuers, banks, and other institutions can meet regulatory expectations without sacrificing speed or functionality,” Chris says. “Regulators, institutions, and builders are beginning to understand that ‘what accelerates’ and ‘what’s responsible’ really are two sides of the same coin.”

Building The Trust Layer for Tokenized Finance

Bluprynt is positioning itself as a horizontal compliance layer that sits above base blockchain infrastructure and below markets. In traditional finance, identity, disclosure, and regulatory enforcement sit in this middle layer. In crypto, this layer remains fragmented or embedded directly into contracts and applications. Bluprynt’s core view is that compliance should be credential-based, not hard-coded into smart contracts.

Bluprynt’s technology works between issuers of tokenized real-world assets, stablecoins, and other digital assets and the venues where those assets are distributed or traded, including wallets, exchanges, block explorers, and tokenization platforms. Its role is to deliver credible provenance, structured disclosures, and machine-readable compliance credentials that can be independently verified and, over time, programmatically enforced.

Next Three Years: Standards Set, Winners Emerge

The next three years represent a critical juncture for digital assets. This is the window where standards get set and distribution points harden. The winners will be companies that embed where decisions get made and operate across jurisdictions without losing trust.

With this injection of funding, Bluprynt can be a winner. The company will move from pilot validation to contract conversion and embedded positioning, and is tracking nearly two dozen prospects across the commercial and governmental sectors.

We believe Bluprynt is positioned favorably: rather than another venue or tokenization platform, it’s a shared trust and disclosure primitive that can sit across them all. Bluprynt’s success will enable a maturing ecosystem where transparency is verifiable, portable, and native to the future of finance.
