“Seeing the abundance of opportunities in a stable, advanced economy – as a child of immigrants fleeing Colombia’s civil war – taught me to take advantage of every opportunity and use it to pave the way for others, especially entrepreneurs solving real problems in Latin America, the region where my heart is.”

With background as an entrepreneur, investor and business consultant, Diana brings a wide breadth of experience to manage Flourish’s investments in Latin America.

Before coming to Flourish, Diana oversaw strategy and business development for Picap, a Colombian motorcycle ride-hailing and last-mile logistics startup. Previously, she co-founded and led Impulsum Capital, an impact investing vehicle for family offices in Colombia. There, she fundraised from angel investors globally and developed a portfolio of mission-driven, early-stage companies. Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, she has worked in every major economy in Latin America, including stints with McKinsey in Mexico and JPMorgan in Brazil.

A strategic advisor to several social impact startups, incubators, and technology leadership organizations, Diana is the LatAm chapter co-founder of Diversity VC, an initiative to create a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive VC sector.

Diana has a bachelor’s in accountancy from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from Cornell. She is an alumna of Stanford University’s VC Unlocked program, a NOLs outdoor educator and is passionate about adventure travel, mountaineering, dance and mentoring social impact leaders.
